Looking for Waterfall hikes in Southern California

Postby CindyC » Mon Mar 08, 2010 4:50 am

I would like any information about this topic anyone may have. I know of Solstice Canyon, Sturtevant Falls, Holy Jim Falls, a waterfall near Solvang and a waterfall off Backbone Trail in Pt Magu State Park. We had decent amount of rain this year so I thought maybe I could get some tips. Many times I've hiked up to a waterfall only to find it's dried up. I prefer hikes that don't involve bushwacking, so if anything like that is involved please let me know. Thanks!

Hello. Im new to this forum.
We have hiked etiwanda falls in North Etiwanda Preserve in Rancho cucamonga. Its a nice easy 3 mile hike.
Other local falls that are still flowing are Monrovia Canyon in Monrovia, Bonita Falls near lytle creek, SAn Antonio FAlls Near Mt Baldy, Fish Canyon Falls Near Azuza and Eaton Falls near Pasadena. All these are easy hikes with the exception of Fish canyon falls. A Google search will provide details and directions to these.
Happy Trails
